Notes on how to interpret and maintain the
documents
1. Each generation beginning with Henry and
Elizabeth Pask (1) has a number indicating its
position in the lineage.
2. When the specific family tree becomes too
large, another page is created to trace that
specific family. The patriarch of that lineage
starting with the 3rd generation is indicated by
a unique color. That color should be kept
within the family as the tree and number of pages
grow. Therefore the subsequent generations of
offspring of the eight surviving children (3) of
Henry Harry and Mary Pask (2) can be traced
forward easily. Three of the children do not
have a color, as of yet. This is because there is
not enough data to warrant subsequent pages. Once
this need arises, a color can be assigned.
3. The program for making the family trees is
Microsoft PowerPoint Office 2000. Any future
edition of PowerPoint should be compatible.

Henry Harry Pask and Mary Marshall (Perhaps at
the time of their wedding in Millville, New York
December 3, 1874.)

The steamship Abyssinia transported Henry Harry
Pask and Mary Marshall (along with other family
members including brother Edward and his wife Ann
Marshall) from Liverpool, England via Queenstown
(now Cobh), Ireland to the Port of New York,
United States, arriving in April 1872 after a
10-day journey. This Cunard Line steamship was
built in 1870 at Glasgow, Scotland by J. and G.
Thomson and Co. It was used throughout the 1870s
to transport immigrants from England and Ireland
to the United States. It measured 363.5 feet in
length, with a beam of 42.4 feet.
