• Prepare the way of the Lord

1st Reading

• This passage was addressed to the Jews who were
  in Babylonian exile. The Lord tells them that
  their sad days are almost over. The Lord is
  preparing for them the way to go back home. And
  as they go back home, their glory and splendor
  will shine again for all to see.

2nd Reading

• St. Paul is joyful in praying for the neophytes
  of Philippi as he sees their fervor to live out
  the Gospel-message. Moreover, the imminent coming
  of Christ, His Parousia, should further motivate
  them.

Gospel

• St. Luke shows us the role of John the Baptist
  in the history of man. His mission is to prepare
  mens hearts and mind in order to properly
  welcome the Messiah-King-Savior. He reminds us to
  remove all obstacles that we may see the
  salvation of God.

  need to straighten?
