About SAFMAMS (1)

• SAFMAMS aims to draw insights on the most useful
  forms of scientific advice for marine
  environmental management.
• The product will be an outline of the various
  forms that such advice can take and a description
  of the circumstances under which these various
  forms are the most useful and cost effective.

About SAFMAMS (2)

• One part of the project focus on identifying the
  most useful forms of advice for the RACs by
  reviewing relevant literature and interacting
  with stakeholders by means of interviews /
  workshops.
• SAFMAMS partners are working with three
  RACsThe Pelagic RAC, the North Sea RAC and the
  Baltic RAC.

• Presentation and brief disscussion of preliminary
  SAFMAMS findings in relation to advice to RACs
• Discussion over how the perfect advice system
  might look like from the perspective of the RACs
• Identification of the obstacles to this
• Identification of things that can be done to
  overcome these obstacles
• Ideas for best practices for the provision of
  advice to RACs
• Total duration of Session 2 not more than 2 hours
