• ONCE upon a time in Sparta there was a very
  unhappy family of gods and goddesses.There was
  the evil father Andretre.He was a regular
  Spartan. He lied to his family cheated and
  stole.He told every one he was the god of war.

• There was the sweet kind mother Athena.She was
  the goddess of wisdom.Andretre had two mean,
  awful daughters Artemis the goddess of hunt, and
  Hestises the goddess of hearth.

• Athena had a beautiful daughter called Aphrodite.
  Andretre did not like Aphrodite. The reason he
  didnt like her was because she was more
  beautiful than his own daughters.So he decided to
  make her the house maid. She had to do every
  thing. Athena was scared of him so she didnt
  stop him from making her daughter the slave.

• Andretre was so mean to Aphrodite that he called
  her Cinderellaphrodite because of all the soot on
  her face.One day Cinderellaprodite went into the
  garden to pick flowers for lotions. They had a
  drought a while back so it took her a

• while to find them. In fact it took her so long
  that by the time she was finished Andretre was
  back from the agora. His room was not yet clean.

• Cinderellaphrodite, why isnt my room clean or
  my wine here! screamed Andretre.
  Cinderellaphrodite was speechless . Andretre was
  so furious he took out his whip and beat her.

• That night Cinderellaphrodite decided to run
  away.She took her dog with her.She went into
  Andretres closet.She took out some men's
  clothes. She cut her hair and when she was done
  she looked like a man.Perfect she thought.

• She was walking through the woods towards the
  agora when a soldier stopped her Hey you called
  a guard.Go to camp we will headed towards Athens
  to attack as soon as possible.

• She walked to the military with her dog. The
  trees creaked and the branches seemed to be
  grabbing her.Lightning streaked across the sky.
  BOOM! CRASH! A tree had fallen across the road.

• She picked Alexander up and jumped over the tree.
  She ran down the road,dog in her hands. When she
  finally made it they had already left for Athens.
  An injured captain gave her a horse.

• Instead she galloped out of sight.Then she ran
  towards the woods. It had stopped raining so she
  dismounted.When she started to dismount a sharp
  sting hit her leg.She got back on and tried again.

• She tried to dismount for the second time.A sharp
  sting hit her side again.She looked over and
  there was a sword.My own swordshe exclaimed.It
  was a pretty sword.It was silver with a gold
  handle.She tied her dog to the big tree.

• Now she thought.I have to give you a
  nameApolloshe whispered.Do you like itApollo
  whinnied and stomped his hoof.Now I should use
  this sword to build a cabin.

• Two hours later she had one side of the log
  chopped down. Oh dear she said. This is hard
  work. When she finally got one side built,it was
  100 the next morning.

• She thought I better get some sleep. She fed the
  animals and herself and went to sleep.Two weeks
  later she had a cabin and a well built.She had
  fences for the animals built.

• That day she was practicing with her sword in
  front of her cabin.She was getting really good
  with it. Meanwhile Ares the god of war was in the
  forest hunting for food.

• He passed by the cabin and saw her practicing.He
  was very impressed.She saw him coming and held
  her sword up for protection.She was scared of how
  mighty he was.

• He said helloto her.I am Ares god of war.No
  you arent Cinderellaphrodite said.My
  stepfather is you are a liar!I hate to prove
  you wrong put your father is just a regular
  perioeci and a liar.

• No he isnt she said madly.He is a liar said
  Ares said calmly.She kept on practicing with her
  sword, when all of the sudden,out of the blue
  there was a strange creepy figure.

• It was half a mile away.She looked at it more
  closely and noticed it was her stepfather. Oh
  my goodness! she screamed!! She got her dog and
  her horse and rode away.

• Ares was confused. You there said Andretre.
  Hail to your god!!! You are nothing but a
  perioeci.
• You have lied to your wife,children, and you
  made a pretty girl go insane.

• Now she thinks that I am a lying peasant. The
  father was speechless and then trotted away. You
  will pay for this perioeci.said Ares. He looked
  down and saw her sword.

• He knew he was in love with her and would use the
  sword to find her.He got all of his servants and
  helots to find the girl who could use the sword
  the best.It took them days but finally found the
  house of Cinderellaphrodite.

• She had been caught by her father and was the
  slave once again. Ares declared Who ever can
  use this sword the best in the land I will
  marry. I am the goddesses of hunt said
  Artemis.

• I am your true love and with that she took the
  sword and almost cut herself because she couldnt
  use it correctly. Ha said Hestia. I can use
  this old thing. In fact its mine!

• And with that she cut her boyfriend who just
  happened to be standing next to her. After about
  two hours of mistakes and injuries it was
  Cinderellaphrodites turn.

• She held it perfectly and cut down the tree
  outside. WOW exclaimed the helots, She is
  good! They got married three months later and
  had a traditional Spartan wedding.

• He threw her over his head to show his strength
  and she carried the most beautiful bouquet of
  flowers.Andretre went to death for he had lied
  and caused a lot of trouble. Aphrodite was made
  godess of beauty and love and he and Ares lived
  happily ever after.
