MISSION STATEMENT
- The Associations mission statement is
- Westcountry Housing Association aims to provide,
manage and maintain a wide range of good quality,
affordable accommodation and housing related
services for people in the greatest need. - FUTURE PLANS
- The Association has a five year strategy. The
strategy is based on ten commitments and core
values. Each commitment is supported in the
strategy by a number of objectives. Set out
below are the 10 commitments.
2- Commitment 1
- To ensure the association achieves high quality
standards in all elements of its work,encouraging
and enabling active involvement by residents
throughout all the Associations activities. - Commitment 2To ensure all the Associations
properties and services remain affordable to
those using them. - Commitment 3To ensure the association
continually seeks to establish how it can improve
its services to all its customers and potential
future customers at an affordable cost and to
continually assess how it can give better value
for money.
3- Commitment 4 To work flexibly with a wide range
of partners to help improve its services and
extend its range of activities. - Commitment 5 To seek to provide additional
housing opportunities through existing as well as
new and innovative mechanisms. - Commitment 6 To work with its residents and
others to help ensure the communities and the
environment in which the associations
residents live are considered to be desirable. - Commitment 7
- To provide a range of housing support services
to vulnerable residents offering a variety of
opportunities, some project based, with others
available to the wider community through
peripatetic housing support services.
4 Commitment 8To meet the need for high quality
and flexibility across all the associations
areas of human resource activity. Commitment
9To meet all the regulatory requirements of a
registered social landlord and an industrial and
provident society which is an exempt
charity. Commitment 10To work to equal
opportunities principles in all its activities
affording equal access to services and employment
and ensuring that it does not discriminate on the
grounds of race, colour, nationality, ethnic
origin, cultural background, religion,
disability, gender or sexual orientation
