12Physical and chemical parameters of underground
water samples
13Physical and chemical parameters of underground
water samples
14Quality of underground waters The results of
physical and chemical tests of collected waters
were compared with the limit values stated in the
Appendix 3 of the Ordinance of Ministry of
Environment dating from 11th of February 2004.
15- According to the Ordinance of Ministry waters
are classified into 5 groups - first group water of very good quality,
- second group - water of good quality,
- third group - water of satisfactory quality,
- fourth group - water of unsatisfactory quality,
- fifth group water of bad quality.

17- The quality of waters from the area of
municipal dump in Zakopane - first group waters from none piezometers,
- second group - waters from piezometers P-1 and
P-5. No significant contaminants were found in
these waters. Waters from these piezometers are
the natural ones, not influenced by the dump, - third group - waters from piezometer P-9 belong
to this group,
18-
- fourth group - waters from piezometers P-3, and
P-10 belong to this group - waters of
unsatisfactory quality, - fifth group waters highly contaminated by the
outlets from the dump, concentrations of some
parameters exceed the limit values which causes
that these waters are classified as waters of bad
quality. This concerns waters from the piezometer
P-2.
19The presented results were used to create the
project realized with the application of
INTERGRAPH Microstation MGE software package,
which includes the following modules n the
Windows 95 system Microstation 95, MGE Basic
Nucleus, MGE Basic Administrator, MGE Base
Mapper, MGE Terrain Analyst, MGE Grid
Generator, MGE Coordinate System in conjunction
with a Centura SQL database functioning in the
Novell 4.11 platform.
20Isolines of electrolytic conductivity in
underground waters
21Isolines of nitrates concentration in underground
waters
22Isolines of sodium concentrations in underground
waters
23Isolines of chlorides concentrations in
underground waters
24CONCLUSION The application of the model
constructed with the use of the INTERGRAPH
Microstation MGE software package to evaluate the
propagation of contaminants coming from the
municipal dump in Zakopane makes it possible to
visualise the results of the conducted
investigations. It also facilitates
considerably the process of data processing, by
offering additional examination capabilities.
The tool used correctly illustrates the
characteristics of occurrence of contaminants in
the examined area. The visualisation of the
underground water monitoring results enables to
undertake the proper actions for the
environmental protection.
