TAKS COMPETITION

The Process

• Pair up teachers and create a schedule that both
  schools can work with.
• Teachers create databases and collaborate
  together to make sure addresses the TAK objective
  they need to work for student success.
• Set up each class with projector and CPS
  database, CPS data receiver, and remotes.

The Competition

• Connect the schools.
• Introduce and encourage
• Each teacher starts the database, mute the mike
• Students read the question and start working to
  show strategies on white boards or paper.
• Students send their responses through the system.
  
• Teachers closes the question and shows each class
  what percentage of correct answers.
• Unmute the mike and each class reports their
  scores on the question.

The Competition

• Each teacher have one student show their
  strategies that they used to the other school.
• Teachers add strategies to help clarify and check
  understanding
• Encourage and go to next question.
• At the end each school shares their cumulative
  score.
