The verbs ir and ser are irregular in the
preterite tense. They have identical forms.

Qué significa?

• Ser is not used very often in the preterite.
• Mi abuelo fue médico.
• My grandfather was a doctor.
• Dr. Rozzell fue mi profesor de español.
• Dr. Rozzell was my Spanish profesor.

• Ir is often used in the preterite.
• fui I went
• fuiste you went
• fue he, she went, Ud. you went
• fuimos we went

• Fui a la playa.
