Why a Lunchtime Interview

• Sets a relaxed atmosphere depending on the
  setting
• Gives the employer a chance to see how you carry
  yourself in a public setting
• Poise and tact

Preparing for the Interview

• Remember this is an interview
• Prepare yourself as you would if in a office
  setting
• Recon the restaurant ahead of time if possible
• Get a description of your interviewer
• If international observe the customs
• You may be asked to choose time and place
• Be strategic. Think about the best time -usually
  around 100pm- and choose an appropriate
  restaurant

The Interview

• Dress appropriately just as you would for an
  office interview
• Arrive early
• Follow cues and develop common ground with
  interviewer
• Order food similar in price
• Make sure the food is manageable in other words
  NO SPAGHETTI!
• NO ALCOHOLIC DRINKS!

• Dont negatively criticize the food
• Carry yourself with confidence
• If you drop something on your clothes dont
  obsess over it
• Usually the employer will pick up the tab
• Bring money just in case and use this as a cue.
  The company may be having financial difficulty
• Close the interview as you would in an office
  setting.
