23My Experience
- If you cant tellI love surgery! MVC was a great
place for me to work and be exposed to many
procedures and multiple techniques for performing
those procedures. - I learned so much about surgery, such as types of
sutures, suture patterns, types of anesthesia,
intubation, instrument names, and the importance
of making sure each and every animal is fully
recovered and well monitored throughout and after
surgery.
24My Experience
- Filling prescriptions enabled me to start
becoming familiar with different prescriptions
and their uses. - The doctors were very helpful and instructive,
always trying to let me know what they were doing
and why. - I learned to run the X-Ray developer and observed
sonograming, a new experience for me!
25My Experience
- This was the first multi-vet practice Ive worked
in - Allowed me to experience the pros and cons of a
large staff - Demonstrated the importance of good and reliable
employees and also the necessity of a good
manager - Taught me character traits that I would look for
and/or avoid in people that I might be
considering to hire someday, and also traits that
I want to improve or eliminate in myself
26In Conclusion
- Summer ended and so did my internship. I truly
miss the doctors and staff from Morris Vet
Clinic, I loved working with them and in their
incredible facility. Overall I feel I could not
have had a better internship. It was a very
instructive, educational, and enjoyable
experience for me. I would highly recommend their
veterinary services to anyone.
