3Open Testing
- Lab capacity per week with open testing
- Average student time in the Testing Lab is 48
minutes (based on actual observations of more
than 50,000 individual exams) - 21 sessions M - Th (700am 1200am, midnight)
- 18 sessions F (700am 930pm)
- 13 sessions Sat (930am 830pm)
- 18,400 individual exam sessions possible per week

4Open Testing Benefits
- Instructor may gain additional student contact
time as exams do not have to be taken during
scheduled class meeting times - Students take exams at their convenience
- Faculty and/or department GAs/TAs need not be
present to administer or proctor any exam - Hired trained proctors staff the Testing Lab
during all exam available dates and times

5Exam Preparation Assistance
- Ryan Wilcox is now the CBA ID (3-0992)
- Will arrange for a WebCT or Webcourses account
for faculty who have not attended CDWS training - Assist in site layout
- Assist in content upload

- 164 student testing stations (four held in

- Faculty cannot be contacted/reached
- Exam availability settings are off (time/date)
- Last minute students
- Student misses exam window
- Student is in multiple WebCT courses

- Some courses using the Testing Lab have been
selected for program assessment. - Student Performance
- Students results on selected exam questions will
be exported for program assessment. - Results
- Results will be stored in CBAs assessment
database, and also summarized on the UCF OEAS
website.

13AACSB Visit Requirements
- AACSB Review Team visit is Feb. 24-26, 2008.
- Know the CBA Mission and Assessment Process.
- Help your students become aware of this process.
- Keep student work samples (exams, papers,
projects). - Keep rubrics used for grading student
assignments. - Add learning outcomes to syllabi (course and
program assessment outcomes, if applicable). - Faculty must become involved in their annual
department assessment review.
