area of the site.

Exam Instructions
This section contains all of the exam
instructions as well as a Demo Exam so that you
can practice using the three formats utilized in
the exam (Multiple Choice, True/False,
Matching). This exam can be taken multiple times
(unlike your actual exam which can only be taken
once).
Its HIGHLY suggested that you take this exam
become familiar with its format BEFORE you take
the actual exam.
7
Proctor Instructions
Your proctor will get an email approximately 24
hours before hand giving him/her the instructions
on how to proctor the exam. They will need to
print off the Exam Form for you to fill out and
return once your exam is completed. It is located
in this section of the website.
Please Note If you have any concerns about any
of the exam questions, you may write them on the
back of this form ONLY no other paper is to be
used! Be sure to inform your proctor so they will
fax BOTH sides to me.
8
Once you are ready to take the exam, you will go
to iaee.blackboard.com and click User Login again.
9
Then, you will click on the Exam Name located in
the MY COURSES box.
Click on Exam name like before.
10
Click on the Exam Button.
Click on the Exam button to access the course
exam.
11
Once you have read the Exam Instruction, click
the Mark as Reviewed button.
12
Then, the Exam Link will appear at the bottom of
the page. Click on it to begin. (You may have to
scroll down to see it.)
Click on the name
13
Click on OK to begin the exam.
Remember it is timed, so do not click OK until
you are ready.
14
Your PROCTOR will enter in their case-sensitive
password at this point.
You cannot access the exam without your proctor.
He/She will be required to remain with you during
the entire exam. No access to course materials,
software applications, internet sites, or any
other material is allowed. Doing so will void you
exam and result in an automatic failure. No
portion of the exam may be copied, printed,
saved, or kept.
15
The questions are given one at a time. It states
the number of points at the top and gives you the
option to save. You do NOT have to click Save,
this is simply a preventative measure in case
there is a technological problem. As it mentions
below, by MOVING TO ANOTHER QUESTION WILL SAVE
THIS RESPONSE. To Submit the question, click
the FORWARD ARROW BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM.
16
Once you have clicked Submit, a dialog box will
appear asking if you would like to confirm
question submission. For this reason, YOU MUST
HAVE YOUR POPUP BLOCKER TURNED OFF DURING THE
EXAM. FYI - It will ask you this after each
question but you can still go back and make
changes up until you click Submit on the final
answer.
Please Note Clicking the BACK arrow when you are
on Question 1 will take you OUT OF THE EXAM and
LOCK it (causing an automatic failure). Be
careful not to double-click or get impatient
when clicking back through the exam.
17
To move to the previous question click the single
back arrow. To move to the first question, click
the double back arrow. To move to the final
question, click the double forward arrow.
Please Note It lists how many questions there
are where you are in the exam. Most exams are
31 questions long (the final 31st question being
a set of matching questions worth 10 points for
the normal total of 40 points per exam).
18
Notice 2 things First This is the last
question on the exam (shown in the bottom right
corner demonstrated by no forward arrow and a
Submit button). Second Notice that it warns
you that by clicking Submit Button, you are
completing the assessment. This means that once
you click that, your result will be calculated
and you will not be able to have access to the
exam again.
19
Notice the language change Confirm assessment
submission vs. the language on the previous
dialog box Confirm question submission. If you
click OK, then you will NOT be able to go back
and make any changes to your exam.
20
Once submitted, it will take you to this
confirmation page. Click OK to review results.
With some classes, you have the ability to see
how many points you got out of 40. You can do
this by clicking on My Results (black button on
left).
21
After you submit your exam, you will see your
results right BELOW the exam link (you may need
to SCROLL DOWN). Once you have clicked OK, you
will then see one of the two following results
letters (based on your exam score).
You will need to print off the letter since one
will not be mailed to you. (Just click on the
link to open it.
22
When you are done, simply Logout!
