Scope of the Project

• This project will relocate the existing
  Marbach Rd substation to a new location in an
  existing 200-foot CPS Energy transmission
  right-of-way, which is owned in fee. The new
  substation will be called the Hunt Lane
  substation.

Purpose and Need

• Improve reliability and reduce risk associated
  with flooding conditions
• Support continued customer load growth in the
  area
• Improve reliability through replacement of aging
  substation infrastructure

• Phase 1 Hunt Lane Substation
• Construction will start approximately October
  3, 2008.
• Hunt Lane substation will be energized by
  October 2009.
• Phase 2 Marbach Rd Substation
• Marbach Rd substation will be decommissioned
  by December 2010.
