Autoscaling

• IDRISI will make a decision, based on the values
  in the image and the legend information, whether
  to set the default palette choice to the IDRISI
  Quantitative or Qualitative palettes.
• Autoscaling is automatically invoked when the
  input image has real data type or integer data
  type with values outside the 0-255 range.
• The number of classes can be entered directly as
  any value from 0-255. However, the drop down list
  provides typically appropriate choices.

Making life easier

• You CAN move a palette to your working directory
  or your NIFKIN resource directory.
• Piece of cake 2 ways
• Use Windows Explorer to copy from wherever IDRISI
  has the palettes to, say, NIFKIN
• Open the palette in the Symbol Workshop and then
  save it to NIFKIN!

• Select Palette (make sure is a palette you are
  opening!)
• Then Save As
