4Logos and Rhema
Logos is the content of the Bible.
Rhema is the flow of God speaking His Word
directly to you. The words (rhema) that I speak
to you are spirit and are life. (John 663b)

Described by Elijah as a still, small voice (I
Kings 1912)
Described by John as the anointing (1 John 220,
27)
And as rivers of living water (John 738)
6Four Steps to Hear Gods Voice
Hab. 21-2 I will stand at my guard post and
station myself on the lookout tower. I will
watch to see what He will say to me and what I
should reply about my complaint. Write down this
vision clearly inscribe it on tablets so one my
easily read it.
I Stand at my Guard Post (Quit yourself downbe
still)
And I will watch to see (fix your eyes on Jesus)
What He will say to me (tune in to
flow-spontaneous thoughts)
Then the Lord will answer meand say Record the
Vision (Write down the flow of thoughts and
pictures in a journal)
7Johns Revelation
I was in spirit on the Lords day, and I heard
behind me a loud voice Write on a scroll what
you see and hearI turned to see the voice
speaking to meand when I turned I sawOne like
the Son of Man (Rev. 110-13)
He was in spirit (John was in tune to flow)
On the Lords day (a particular time and place)
He turned to hear and see (He put His eyes on
Jesus)
He was commanded to write down what he heard and
saw (John wrote down the flow of what he heard
and saw)

Find a quite place and time to get alone with the
Lord
Focus your eyes on Jesus
Tune to the spontaneous flow of thoughts that
come after you pray
Write down the flow of thoughts or pictures in
your journal
9One Final Thought
Because you are PRACTICING, it is best to share
your journal with a trusted spiritual companion
or companions in order to build your faith and
confidence that what you are hearing is indeed
from the Lord.
