2. It looks to Flash to locate load the Cisco
Operating System. If not found it would go to the
TFTP Server to get the Operating System. If not
found there it would look in ROM.
1. Boot Strap files load instructions on the CPU
card that cause other instructions to be loaded
into RAM memory.
ROM
3. It looks to NVRAM to load the Configuration
file. If not found it would go to the TFTP Server
and if not found there it would go to the Console.

The Operating System and Configurations files are
now running in RAM.
