• Every HAVi device is associated with one DCM
• DCM services are at the device level (rather than
  dealing with a specific functional component)
• access to FCMs (e.g., retrieval of FCM SEIDs)
• power state control
• access to SDD (configuration ROM) information
• manipulation of device plugs
• support for participation in scheduled actions
• native communication with target device
• provision of a havlet for device control
• selection of content

FCM Services

• A HAVi device may contain several functional
  components
• Every functional component is associated with one
  FCM
• The FCM provides a set of FCM-specific services
  (e.g., tuner operations, camera operations )
  plus some generic services
• power state control
• FCM state change notification
• manipulation of FCM plugs
• support for reservation
• wink support
