Throughout 5 year training

• Memory clinic, falls clinic, day hospital,
  continence sessions, movement disorders,
  domiciliary visits, care home visit, community
  hospital
• Level 1,2 competencies
• Teaching, audit, learning, research, BGS meetings

Later years

• Year 3,4,5 Specialty postings (psychogeriatrics,
  community hospital, acute geriatrics, palliative
  care, orthogeriatrics, stroke)
• Year 4, 5 NHS management, Ethics

• Peer learning discussions with clinicians and
  at regional meetings
• 4 hrs/week education

• Monthly meeting 4 hours
• Different specialties have a rolling rota
• Trainee and Consultant presentation

North East joint trainee meeting

• Starting this year First meeting on 19 Nov
• Alternately organised by Tayside and Grampian
  trainees
• One half day session every 6 months
