Lakshadweep is not land locked. It is a series of
Islands.
Climate
The overall climate of these islands is humid
tropical monsoon type. The mean annual rainfall
in this zone ranges from 1715 to 1934 mm  of
which 80 is distributed from May to November.
Mean annual temperature ranges from 27.3 to 27.9
degree Celsius.  The annual potential
evapo-transpiration demand is about 1480 mm. The
length of dry period ranges between 5 and 6
months ( ie., November to April).

Shri B.V. SELVARAJ, IAS. Honourable Administrator
is the Head of the Union Territory of
Lakshadweep. He is also the Chairman of
Lakshadweep Development Corporation (a
U.T.Administration public sector undertaking) and
SPORTS (Society for Promotion of Recreational
Tourism and Sports). He functions ex-officio as 
the Inspector General of Lakshadweep Police.

Flag Description
The colors are saffron, white and green. The navy
blue wheel in the center of the flag has a
diameter approximately the width of the white
band and is called Ashoka's Dharma Chakra, with
24 spokes (after Ashoka, the Great). Each spoke
depicts one hour of the day, portraying the
prevalence of righteousness all 24 hours of it.
