  • Membership Terms
  • On a yearly basis, the Executive Committee will
    present a slate of nominations to fill any
    vacancies and the slate will be presented to the
    full board for approval at the October meeting.
  • Initial membership on the Board will be for one
    year.
  • After initial membership of one year, terms of
    Board membership will be for three years with a
    maximum of two terms and eligible for additional
    terms after one year of being OFF the board.

  • Membership Terms

Membership will be staggered such that one-third
members shall be up for election each year. New
members will be elected in October and will begin
serving in January of the following year. Any
member missing three (3) consecutive meetings
without reasonable excuse may be removed by the
Regional Director with a majority vote of the
members present and voting.

Leadership activities Sheila Marushak MU
AHEC Coaching Skills Students will learn empathic
listening and questioning skills and how to use
the discovery questioning technique to assist
others with their goal setting. Building a
Leadership Development Plan Students will
generate a leadership development plan based on
their interests and goals after the coaching
skills session. Students will take the emotional
intelligence inventory to identify areas of
strength and limitation. Discovery questioning
can be practiced by the students throughout the
year to assist one another in identifying next
steps in their development plan.

    coordinators, and students spotlighting a health
    profession and study skill tip.
