general information

• there are three groups of minorities ethnic,
  linguistic and national minorities
• they are different because of some attributes for
  example their language, race, religion, ethics or
  sexual identity
• under the ascendancy of the USA, the perception
  minority got a new acceptation, so every group
  with fewer than a half of the population is
  called minority

ethnic minorities in Germany

• In Germany there are four accepted minorities
• - 60,000 Sorbs in Brandenburg and Saxony
• -30,000 Friesen in Schleswig-Holstein and
  Lower-Saxony
• - 50,000 Danes in Schleswig-Holstein and
• - 12,000 Sinti and Roma

• -they have the German nationality
• -are different as the rest German people because
  of their own language, culture and history
• -live in their settlement areas
