• Consists of two bones clavicle and scapula

Clavicle

• AKA collar bone
• 3 parts the long central portion and two ends or
  extremities
• Female clavicle is shorter and less curved than
  the male, which is thicker and more curved

• AKA shoulder blade
• Three borders
• Three angles

Rotations of the shoulder for x-rays

• External Rotation true AP of the humerus
  intercondylar line is parallel to film greater
  tubercle seen in profile laterally and the less
  tubercle is seen anteriorly
• Internal rotation epidcondyles of distal humerus
  are perpendicular to film less tubercle seen in
  profile medially
• Neutral rotation humerus is in a 45 degree
  oblique to the film
