• Note the thin width of the purple epidermal layer
  with the stratum corneum flaking off on the
  surface. Also notice how the mitotic epidermis
  surrounds the hair follicle and the sebaceous
  gland.
• The dermis appears pink due to the prodominance
  of collagen fibers.
• The hypodermis is distinguished by the many white
  adipose cells.
