IAEA Technical Meeting on the "Impact of Modern
Technology on Instrumentation and Control in
Nuclear Power Plants"

• Background
• NPP are facing obsolescence and increase in
  maintenance costs, under serious economic
  pressure. On the other side, new opportunities
  represented by modern technologies can be quite
  useful for IC modernization and cost
  optimization.
• Purpose of the Meeting
• To provide an international forum for
  presentations and discussions of experience with
  various aspects of the impact of new technologies
  on the modernization of measurements, IC
  systems, and human-system interfaces. Future
  trends for technology development also to be
  discussed.
• The Attendance
• 67 participants, coming from 22 countries. All
  the stakeholders (Utilities, Suppliers, Research
  organisations, academia and Technical Safety
  Organisation or regulatory bodies)
• Papers
• 32 papers will be presented during the three days
• Technical visit at the Full Scope Simulator of
  Civaux N4 NPP
• 46 participants

• Paris 15th arrondissement, on the Cygnes island,
  in the middle of the Bir-Hakeim bridge (just one
  bridge before the Eiffel Tower) near to the
  Bir-Hakeim metro station (line 6) or the Champs
  de Mars RER station (RER C).
• To access the boarding place
• The port of departure of Capitaine Fracasse is
  on the Cygnes island. Walk on the Bir Hakeim
  bridge, go to the middle of the bridge, then
  follow the stairs down the Cygnes island
• Boarding time

The boarding starts at 745 PM. The cruise starts
at 830 PM. Return at 1030 PM
