• An ecosystem is defined as a group of organisms
  and their physical or natural environment. Man
  has become increasingly aware that his way of
  life is determined and defined by his
  surroundings. Every living thing in an ecosystem
  is dependent upon and affected by every other
  thing in that ecosystem. The four ecosystem -
  desert, rainforest, mountains, and steppes or
  grasslands - created agricultural problems for
  Mexico.

• Mexico is also a nation of diverse cultures.
  First, the Mayas, the Aztecs and other
  civilizations occupied Mexico then the Spanish
  and French conquered and colonized the land.
  Here we see Hernan Cortes, a Spaniard, when he
  first made contact with the Aztecs. A year later
  their empire had disappeared.

Mexico City (The Giant Grows)

• Mexico City is the largest city in the world. It
  is home to almost 30 million people and it is
  still growing at an alarming rate. In recent
  decades, the city has become hopelessly
  overcrowded and unmanageable, spreading itself so
  far and fast that it has outgrown the resources
  and services available to support it.
