Coach Selection Process

• Committee includes executive and non-executive
  members
• Applications accepted in February/March
• Interviews Completed in March/April
• Committee members must be removed for levels they
  are in conflict
• Committee recommendations approved by Hockey
  Programs
• Many factors taken into account

Coach Evaluations

• Done in November/December
• Opportunity to provide feedback
• Reviewed by Competitive Coach Director VP
  Finance
• Summary provided to coach
• Anomalies are investigated
• Discipline
• Improving Year over Year
• Feedback on forms does not always match verbal
  feedback in the rinks

Compensation Guidelines

• Non-parent Coaches
• Most associations have one
• Ceiling of 2,500 per team
• Reasonableness Test
• Tracked and Reported to parents
• Included in Team budgets

Affiliation Policy

• Teams to make every effort to have a full
  compliment of 17 players at each game/practice
• Goal is to develop more players
• Tracked through team monthly reports
• KMHA changing to Club System which allows more
  flexibility

Competitive Team Fees

• AA - 13,000 per team (3 hours practice per week)
• A - 9,750 per team (2.5 hours practice per week)
• B - 6,500 per team (2 hours practice per week)
• These are averages not absolutes, allocations
  vary according to ice availability and team
  schedules
• Schedules to be released earlier
• Included in team budgets
