2- Esbjerg town got founded in about 1869 near a
harbour, which were build at Esbjerg Klev (the
picture)
3- The work at the sluice near the dock harbour in
1871.
4- The harbour cost 600.000 DK-rigsdaler and got
builded in a periode of 7 years. The town grow
fast. In 1870 there was 50 high houses.
5- A DFDS-paddle steamer sailed from Harwich to
Esbjerg in 1885, which took 30 hours for a single
trip.
6- So it was possible for englishmen to visit
Denmark, following this advertisement, to the
castle Koldinghus.

8- The water tower was build in 1896-97, in defience
of claims from population of the town.

12- Trains came to Esbjerg from Holstebro and
Lunderskov, decided of king Christian IX.

house near the dock harbour.

Esbjerg.

didnt came up.

from 1968.
