  • Challenges with holding onto Alums
  • NEB as volunteers unable to be available for
    Active membership
  • Frustration with communication
  • Inability to retain new chapters
  • No significant national growth
  • Lack of usable training for Active officers

Develop a Plan
  • Breakdown problems into major categories and
    research
  • Have long term goals for growth and
    organizational improvements
  • Utilize actives, alum and NEB for information and
    suggestions

National Structure
  • How do you change the NEB from secretaries to
    leaders?
  • How can the paperwork and drudgery be minimized?
  • How do you increase the effectiveness of the
    National Officers?
  • How do you fund positive changes?

Chapter Structure
  • Inconsistency between chapters on service hours
  • Local Officers are usually not a good resource
    for information
  • Confusion on national requirements
  • Lack of effective communication with Nationals
  • Very little financial guidance

Alumnae Involvement
  • After graduation, there is very little available
    for alumnae to stay involved
  • Alumnae chapters are disorganized and without
    goals
  • Very few Alumnae attend convention
  • What does OPA give Alumnae?

Expansions
  • What is our national expansions goal?
  • How do we expand without losing the newest
    chapters?
  • Lack of guidance during the first year after
    colonization
  • Do we have criteria for choosing a school or area
    for colonization?

Leadership
  • How do we train members to be officers?
  • Actives feel that they have no immediate
    resources for questions i.e., local alums,
    nearby NEB, someone they feel comfortable with or
    see on a regular basis.
  • There is no defined Help-Chain for chapter
    officers
  • No formal yearly Roberts Rules training
