  challenges on March 29, 2006.

• Subject Request for Comment Regarding Need to
  Review FIPS 201
• In March, FIPS 201 was revised as FIPS 201-1 in
  order to accommodate policy changes for issuance
  of interim credentials.
• NIST is seeking agency input regarding whether
  full review of FIPS-201 is needed.
• Please identify specific provisions that require
  review and state reasoning for recommendation.
• If full review is necessary, procedure for
  evaluating and implementing changes will be
  developed.
• Recommendations will be evaluated in context of
  improving security, privacy, interoperability,
  operational effectiveness, cost efficiency, and
  standards stability.
• No response will be interpreted as no review
  required.
• Deadline for responding to this request is June
  16, 2006.
