community engagement through the Center for

- (CES) is a major food shelf and

- people in severe poverty.

congregational Day of Service. - Youth perform 10 hours of service before
attending Youth Gatherings. - Council Retreat/Meeting included service event at
Foodshelf.

Fishes, Southeast Asian Ministries, and Meals on
Wheels as Missions of the Month and Thanksgiving
Offerings. - We conducted a special campaign to raise money
for the St. Paul Area Synod Crossing Bridges
Campaign that includes ending poverty initiatives.

- LSS of MN serves 100,000 Minnesotans of all ages
each year. -
- We have been an integral part of a Minnesota
Without Poverty since its inception. - We have a goal to end homelessness for
- kids in Minnesota by 2015.
- Our Financial Services have doubled in the past
two years. We now serve 6,000 families with
mortgage foreclosure services and over 20,000
families with debt management services each year.

- We have invited our legislators to discuss ending

church describing the Hennepin County plan to End

Children and young adults from the
Cedar-Riverside neighborhood come with their
homework and are tutored by students from
Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota. - Trinitys Wednesday Night Supper provides a
weekly meal for Cedar-Riverside families along
with playtime for their children, giving parents
time to relax and visit.
