Focusing Question
  • Which species are well or not well adapted to the
    VUES outdoor classroom pond habitat?

Deer flies well adapted to the pond Habitat
  • They are common in ponds and streams and fresh
    water.
  • Only the female Deer flies bite mammals.

Dragonflies well adapted to the pond habitat.
  • They usually stay around water habitats.
  • They are found all over the world.
  • There are 114 different species.
  • Adult dragonflies live by the water but wander
    off sometimes.

Tarantulas not well adapted to the pond habitat
  • The tarantula prefers to live in dry well drained
    desert.
  • The female digs a hole if the ground is suitable.
  • She lays silk in the hole so that dirt won't get
    in the hole.

Conclusion
  • In conclusion, We did research about dragon flies
    and deer flies. They live in the pond habitat.
    Then we did research on Tarantulas and they don't
    live in the pond habitat.
