Research Question

• Is Lake Munson degraded because of an over
  abundance of exotic plant species?

Hypothesis

• Our hypothesis is that Lake Munson will be
  partially degraded by exotic plant species
  because they will thrive on the fact that it is a
  retention lake so it will have an excess of
  nutrients and other foreign materials.

Procedure

• Measure out a 100 foot stretch of shoreline.
• Locate and identify all plant species in that
  stretch using a plant guide.
• Assess all plant properties using plant
  assessment guide.
• Repeat all steps in three distinct locations.

Conclusion

• Our findings showed us that in 2/3 of the areas
  that we observed a exotic plant was dominant.
  Also, in all areas there was a small presence of
  at least one species of exotic plants. So, our
  original hypothesis was correct because each area
  had an exotic plant species present. Therefore
  our findings show that there is an abundance of
  exotic plant species there isnt over abundance
  of them so this area is not completely, but
  partially degraded.
