Rebirth When a world dies out in space, Where
no one can hear it blow up It spells destruction
for an alien race, Some aliens dont get to grow
up. A fiery climax to end all lives, Never with
mercy or peace. All alien husbands, all alien
wives, And an occasional alien niece. Even
though others might say nope, Theyre dead,
except it, its true, Amongst the rocks and gas
there is hope, For life can always begin anew.

The Road As I rest on the gray road I
look up and see a thick sheet of clouds I look
back and see where I have been I look ahead and
see where I have yet to go Then I walk
on. Sunset Golden light flows through the
window as darkness begins to fall orange, yellow,
red, pink all dazzling to behold, the suns last
attempt to shine before it is consumed.

The Deer Down there in the field, I believe I
see a deer. I want to pet it, I will not
yield, But wait-it runs away in fear! Why did it
run, why did it hide? The answer I now see I
tried to be quiet, I really tried And yet she was
still afraid of me.

The Big Apple From the buildings to the
taxis To the excitement always swelling There is
no place that I would Rather call my
dwelling. The sky-scrapers are imposing, Like
glass and metal giants. Times Square is a neon
metropolis. The G.W Bridge isnt very
pliant. The people are real characters. The
taxis are like zooming bees.

Central Parks as green as an army jacket, And
full of trees. Bronx has a famous zoo, Staten
Island is not jumbo, Queens is connected by a
tunnel, But Brooklyns still got Dumbo! But
there is more to this city Than the tourists and
the structures! It means so much to me That my
mind can rupture! I love this city as much As
any other loved one. When I try to think of a
better city I can think of none!

Melissa. It seems too little a word to describe
this red haired woman. Who is determined to do
what is right for me Who watches me grow with her
sky blue eyes Who will always love me. Whether at
her computer where she e-mails her
mom-friends, sharing anecdotes about their
wonderful children, or in the kitchen cooking
fabulous food, feeding her pride and joy-me! Who
supports me, always triple checking my
decisions. Talking to me in her sarcastic manner,

talking about her specific opinions on what is
right for me. Sometimes she gets very angry, and
when she does it will scare you, Make you feel
small. She does this to me, but she still loves
me, and always will. She has worked as an editor,
so she has a critical mind. This woman, who loves
horses, an animal as wild as she is, yet she can
be tame Melissa. It still seems too small.
