ESL Part 1

• The purpose of ESL Part 1 is to build a
  foundation of knowledge and skills which will
  enable candidates to design, deliver, and assess
  instruction for second language learners in
  classrooms K 12.

ESL Part 2

• The purpose of ESL Part 2 is to build on
  candidates knowledge and skills gained in Part
  1. By analyzing and synthesizing what was
  previously examined, candidates are provided with
  opportunities for further, in-depth exploration
  of the knowledge and skills necessary for the
  design, delivery, and assessment of ESL/ELD
  programs and instruction K - 12.

ESL Specialist

• The purpose of ESL Specialist is to provide
  candidates with a comprehensive understanding and
  practical experience of the role of the ESL/ELD
  teacher as a leader and advocate.

Practicum Overview

• Each teacher has his/her own class to teach for 5
  hr per day in China
• Monday - Friday are teaching days
