Epidemiologic situation Important Activities

• The two pending cases reported last week from
  Ainabo, Togdher, with date of onset 19/01/07 and
  from Burao, Togdher, with date of onset 23/01/07
  were confirmed.
• The polio case SOM-TOG-BUR-07-001and its two
  contacts are 99 related with the case
  ETH-SOM-WAR-06-675, it shows to and fro movement
  of virus across the border.
• The number of confirmed polio cases in 2007 is 4.
• Since July 2006 circulation is restricted to
  Togdher region in Somaliland particularly Burao
  district.
• No more cases are pending ITD.
