14The Technology Forward Team
- In the spring of 2008, a new team of volunteers
was formed to evaluate the technological needs of
our school. - Their function was, and continues to be, creating
technology plans, searching out funding through
grants and donors, and making sure St. Mary
offers the latest and greatest in technology for
our students.
15One of these goals is to
- Create a 1 to 1 learning environment at St. Mary
Parish School, where students and teachers have
24/7 access to notebook computers, digital
content, educational software, and digital
authoring tools.

23How we funded our Phase I plan
- A music grant from the Beihoff Fund
- A very generous Visionary Gift from local
author, and St Mary Alumni, John Schilling
24About Mr John Schilling
- The school, run by Franciscan sisters, was
known for its rigorous curriculum, and strict
adherence to Catholic Religious Teachings. That
upbringing at home and at school taught me to
respect others, be honest, and strive to live
with integrity. Taken from his book Undercover
How I Went from Company Man to FBI Spy and
Exposed the Worst Healthcare Fraud in US History,
author and alum John Schilling recounted his days
at St. Mary School as pivotal in forming his
ability to do the right thing! These teachings
and upbringing provided John the courage and
fortitude to turn in his employer for fraud, go
through agonizing years in the court system, and
deal with the stress of raising a family in the
midst of this chaos.
