2Tutankhamun is the most famous pharaoh. He
is also known as King Tut. He was
an Egyptian pharaoh of the 18th dynasty.
Tut was not the most important king, he is
well known because of his tomb, which
contains beautiful treasures.
The image in the first slide is the true face of
Tut. This silicone-skinned bust is billed as
the most accurate forensic reconstruction
ever of ancient Egypt's Pharaoh Tutankhamun.
It was based on recent 3-D CT scans of
the mummy of the "boy king, who is
believed to have been about 19 when he died
some 3,300 years ago.
3British archaeologists Howard Carnarvon
discovered Tuts tomb in 1922. The period he
lived was called the New Kingdom, in that
period Egyptians we worshipping
their multiple Gods.
Tut was the pharaoh at the age of
nine. Tut was taught many skills when he
was young. He unfortunately died in the
age of 18. His burial arrangements lasted
for 70 days. His tombs are said to contain a
magnificent collection of Egyptian art.

The most beautiful piece found in
King Tutankhamuns Tomb is his coffin made of
solid gold. It is 74 long, 20 wide and
20 high. King Tutankhamun was shown as
Osiris holding the crook and flail.
5This was the traditional symbol that
meant kingship. Another famous item of
King Tutankhamun is the funerary mask.
This also was made of solid gold and
was inlaid with lapis lazuli, cornelian,
quartz, obsidian, turquoise and colored
glass. King Nebkheperuru Tutankhamuns
Tomb contained a set of Canopic
containers.
The calcite Canopic chest had stoppers in
the form of the king. There were four
canopic coffins for King Nebkheperuru
Tutankhamun.
