Family Involvement Policy/Plan
  • Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation
  • The Policy/Plan template can be found on page 76
    of the Title I Handbook.
  • Follow the template specifically to complete the
    law requirements.
  • It is the schools responsibility to monitor and
    evaluate the plan two times.
  • Turn in the documentation with verification form
    signed by the principal to the Title I Office.
  • The Policy/Plan is tailored to the needs of the
    school.

School-Parent Compact
  • Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation
  • The Compact is an agreement between the home and
    the school.
  • The Compact outlines the responsibilities of
    improving student achievement.
  • Each year a new Compact is written with parental
    input.
  • The Compact addresses the importance of
    communication.
  • The Compact is discussed at family-teacher
    conferences.

Networking
  • Parent Liaisons shall
  • Mentor one another at school sites to learn roles
    and responsibilities.
  • Share ideas and strategies to build parent
    capacity.
  • Serve as a support system to each other.

Planting Seeds for Success Conference
  • The Planting Seeds for Success Conference will be
    held October 25, 2008 at the Palm Beach
    Convention Center from 800 am to 330 pm.
  • Sessions will provide information, resources and
    materials to increase student achievement.

District Title I Parent Advisory Council
  • This Council is comprised of parents from Title I
    schools.
  • Parents work on Title I initiatives.
  • Parents give input and make decisions to improve
    Family Involvement.
