Education is an ongoing process utilizing best
approach in developing mental, physical, freedom
and understanding the Creator as demonstrated by
human intellect, emotion and attitude towards the
environment.

In 1977, The first International Conference on
Islamic Education at Mecca affirmed the meaning
of Islamic Education as follows
  • In the context of Islam in inherent in the
    connotation of the terms tarbiyyah, talim and
    tadib taken together. What each of these conveys
    concerning man and his society related to others
    and together they represent the scope of
    education in Islam, both formal and non-formal
    Education should aim at the balanced growth of
    the total personality of Man through the training
    of Mans spirit, intellect, the rational self,
    feelings and bodily senses. Education should
    therefore cater for the growth of man in all its
    aspects spiritual, intellectual, imaginative,
    physical, scientific, linguistic, both
    individually and collectively and motivate all
    these aspects towards good and the attainment of
    perfection. The ultimate aim of Muslim education
    lies in the realization of complete submission to
    Allah on the level of the individual, the
    community and humanity at large.

  • A process to develop human traits in a gradual
    basis to reach final stage which is to be insan
    kamil (perfect man) and perform sincere worship
    (total submission) to the Creator
  • Suatu proses membentuk keperibadian manusia dari
    satu tahap ke satu tahap sehingga mencapai tahap
    terakhir iaitu insan yang sempurna serta
    mengabdikan diri dengan ikhlas kepada Allah
