  • small pouch that extends off of the large
    intestine

Liver
  • largest gland organ in the body
  • store glycogen and release it when it is needed
    for energy
  • produces the bile that is then sent to the
    gallbladder for storage
  • protects the body from harmful toxins

Gallbladder
  • Is connected to the liver.
  • Stores the "bile" that the liver makes, and
    releases it into the upper small intesting when
    needed.
