anticipate spending my time with my husband and
our pursuits like gardening. RVing, boating,
flea marketing, and fishing. Ill discover new

• Of course there are many! But my fondest memories
• center around grade level or school wide events
  like
• science day, Tacky Day, author visits,
  Armstrong Woods,
• and the science fairs.

Words of Advice for your replacement Have a
sense of humor! Look for, and find, each
childs particular gift, and let them know that
you noticed that gift.
Retirement Plans Walking, exercising,
friendships and family. Ill continue my study
of the Irish language, and expand my
intellectual pursuits, and other interesting
things that dont cost money. I might wash my
windows!

• The brightening of a students face when he
  realized that the decision to live with one
  parent can be made new on a weekly or monthly
  basis. He thought I was so wise!

deeply, and slow down. An occasional home visit
and a little Spanish goes a long way towards
building a sense of community.
Retirement Plans Kayaking, yard sales,
gardening, pole-dancing, studying the Kabbalah,
and sky-diving.

• loaded up the UPS trucks with 500 filled
  backpacks
• (filled by children), for the children who lost
• everything in Hurricane Katrina

• Most Memorable Time I treasure those friends who
  have
• listened to me, encouraged me, told me when I was
  off-base,
• and cheered me on. I also enjoy thinking of the
  Dr. Herringtons
• first summer when he offered to sort through ALL
  of the district mail
• for one envelope that a student needed RIGHT NOW
  there were
• more than 10 mail baskets-full of mail when he
  offered.

things will pass - the bad "stuff" will
eventually go away. b) Enjoy and hold next to
your heart all the good things you find each
day. c) You will find that you have made a
positive impact in the most unexpected places
and least likely times.
Retirement Plans My husband and I have purchased
a small farm in Illinois where we will entertain
the grandchildren and relax. Reading. Part time

the letter as we approach our golden anniversary.
My wife also happens to be my significant
healer! To love and care for my family.

• Theyre just NOT getting it, maybe I
• should change jobs! These words are
• spoken every spring. Then the
• miraculous occurs - suddenly amazing
• progress takes place. Just as contract
• renewals arrive, I love my job again!

Words of Advice for your replacement Breathe and
smile. Most challenges can be defused by taking a
deep breath and offering a smile, especially
toward those who need it the most
Retirement Plans Travel in our 5th wheel with
husband, Bill. Learn to play music on my cello
and piano. Quilt.Take art classes. Substitute, to
pay for all the above!
