  • 1. Support its structure.
  • 2. To transport minerals and water from the
    roots to the leaves and flower.

  • Because Celery is a stem, it has xylem and phloem
    in it
  • If you leave Celery sit in a sugary solution, the
    tubes will transport the sugar up to the
    leavesand make them SWEET.
  • Colorful Celery or Carnation
  • For the same reasons, celery will also transport
    the dye up to the leaves.
