association affiliated to the Undersecretariat

billion USD of Turkey.

World Kitchenware Sector

• The total market size in the world kitchenware
  sector has been predicted to be US 62.6 Billion
  as of 2007.
• The increase in the market size has been realised
  as 4.7 between 2003 and 2007
• Professionals assume the increase to be 3.6 for
  the next 5 years
• Supermarkets and Hipermarkets are the biggest
  buyers and have a very strong power if they have
  chain stores
• Some of the supermarket chains and department
  stores tend to serve private label on kitchenware
  items

Turkish Kitchenware Exports

• Turkish Kitchenware exports showed a positive
  trend in the recent years. The total kitchenware
  exports has been realised as 2 billion US in
  2008, a 21.5 increase compared with the 1,6
  Billion US export figure in 2007.
• The export of Turkish kitchenware reached 358
  Million US in the first quarter of 2009.
• Despite the recent economic slowdown, Turkish
  kitchenware market is performing a 17 growth in
  every year.
