  • The Atmospheric Flight Testing of Scramjet
Sounding Rocket Launch is geared towards the
development of a low-cost, atmospheric flight
test technique for scramjet engines integrated
    into hypersonic vehicles.
  • A low-cost, reliable ferry will be designed
to take the scramjet vehicle to its prescribed
takeover flight conditions of 65K ft and mach
5.73. This will be accomplished by utilizing a
Terrier Orion sounding rocket booster along with
flight systems that accommodate control of test
    article functions, and measurement and
transmission of data to the Wallops tracking
    assets.
