a. Company moves aircraft to PZ at appropriate
times. b. Company loads troops, supplies,

flight techniques based on factors of METT-T.
e. Aircrews execute landing plan. f.
Aircrews supervise expeditious unloading of
troops and equipment as soon as the aircraft is
safely on the ground.
TM 1 O/Cs Aircraft O/C observe company.
The company rigs, picks up, drops, and de-rigs
without injury to personnel or damage to
equipment by the time specified in the
OPORD/FRAGO.
Conduct Aerial Re-Supply
All O/Cs observe company Risk Management
Procedures.
Leaders and soldiers are aware of potential
safety problems inherent in the conduct of the
task. Company trains to standard and does not
take shortcuts that endanger unit members. Risks
taken are necessary to accomplish training
objectives. Appropriate measures are taken to
identify, assess, evaluate, and mitigate the
risks.

All O/Cs observe A2 C2 planning and execution.
A2 C2 measures are observed throughout
operations. Actions are taken to preclude any
airspace conflicts among friendly forces.
Comply with Established A2 C2 measures
The unit is able to maneuver in the area of
operations using positive and procedural control
measures to prevent engagement by enemy and
friendly assets.
Use counter measures against Enemy Air Defense
Artillery to Ensure Aircraft Survivability
All O/Cs observe company conducting task steps.
SR. O/C Aircraft O/C observe company.
The commander submits status reports on aircraft
and personnel to higher headquarters within 30
minutes after returning to the assembly area.

Section IV Admin Requirements

O/C Team Safety Considerations
  • Ground Safety
  • - All personnel avoid main and tail rotors.
  • - Personnel approach the aircraft from the
    90-degree position only after visual approval
    from aircrew.
  • - All personnel working on aircraft will have
    sleeves down.
  • - Seat belt use and proper hearing and eye
    protection is mandatory. Use ground guides IAW
    unit SOP.
  • - During night operations, ground personnel will
    carry a flashlight or similar lighted device when
    working on aircraft.
  • - Personnel working on aircraft remove watches
    and rings.
  • Aviation Safety
  • - Conduct flight operations IAW AR 95-1/2
    FORSCOM Reg. 95-1, unit SOP, current DOD FLIP,
    and appropriate ATM.
  • - Monitor and track fighter management (aircrew
    endurance) IAW unit SOP.
  • - Complete a deliberate (or operational) risk
    assessment IAW unit SOP prior to execution.
  • - Develop a Tactical Assembly Area aircraft
    parking and airspace management plan.

Environment Issues
  • Units will submit Environmental Assessments of
    training. For submission call Chief Range
    Operations DSN 280-4848.
  • Activities requiring approval of Range

  • Control of Petroleum Products
  • A gallon or more of oil, transmission fluid,
    gasoline, aviation fuel, and other
    hazardous/toxic waste is dumped or spilled,
    report to Range Control immediately, The Spill
    report must include
  • (1) Coordinates of Spill
  • (2) Type and quantity
  • (Note) Actions must be taken immediately to
    control/contain the spill.

  • Trash and garbage will be transported by units
    to installation transfer station.
  • Field Sanitation/Latrines, Slit trenches,
    portable latrines, pit latrines, ect., will be
    located no closer than 100 meters from the units
    mess and open water. Latrines will be positioned
    so the surface run off will not carry pit
    residues to open water. See Fort McCoy Reg 385-1
    for further information.

Rules of Engagement
The 4th Brigade, 85th Division (TS) Rules of
Engagement (dated 26 Jan 00), as previously
electronically distributed will be used by the
unit during evaluated training events.

Section V After Action Review

AAR PURPOSE
Provides immediate feedback on specific
training events through group discussion. This
allows units to identify strengths and areas to
improve and provides them an opportunity to
refine their performance and meet Army standards.
