Signs of a Bullied child or teen
  • Coming home with cuts and bruises
  • Torn clothes
  • Asking for stolen possessions to be replaced
  • Losing dinner money
  • Falling out with previously good friends
  • Being moody and bad tempered
  • Being quiet and withdrawn
  • Wanting to avoid leaving the house
  • Aggression with brothers and sisters
  • Doing less well at schoolwork
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety

Who Are The Bullies?
  • Bullies are both male and female.
  • Bullies are all different ages.
  • Even adults can be bullies.
  • Many times kids who are bullies
  • turn into adults who are bullies.
  • Bullies may have been victims of bullying.
  • Bullies do what they do because
  • they want control and power and
  • dont know any other way to get it.
  • Bullies typically suffer from low self-esteem.
  • Bullies want people to look up to
    them, so they try to act tough.
  • Bullying is often a cry for help.

What makes a Bully?
  • You demean your victims using name calling
  • You spread rumors
  • You make up stories to get your victims into
    trouble
  • You take your victims friends away leaving them
    without friends
  • You tell other people not to be friends with your
    victim
  • You hit, kick, trip up or push your victim around
  • You make remarks about their culture, religion or
    color
  • You make remarks about their looks or weight
  • You make remarks about their disability or
    medical condition
  • You dont choose them to be your partner in class
  • You leave them out when youre choosing a games
    team
  • You tell them youre busy and then go off to
    enjoy yourself with other people
  • You take away their possessions or demand money
    from them
  • You hide their books or bag
  • You make jokes about them when you can see
    theyre upset
  • You send them nasty text messages or make silent
    calls on their phone
  • You indulge in horseplay when you know they are
    not enjoying it
  • You make threats about nasty things that will
    happen to them
  • Youre going along with the crowd who are doing
    any of these things
