MEDICAL CARE AND MEDICATIONS
  • Medicare Cards
Students must have their own Medicare Cards to
bring to the College. This may necessitate your
    applying for a separate card.
  • Medications
All tablets and medications are to
be handed to the Registered Nurse who
    will supervise their dispensing.

11
  • Prescriptions
    Where parents/guardians are sending
prescriptions to the College, please address
    these to the Registered Nurse.
  • Medical Forms
A medical form will be included in the
Enrolment Package. Please complete this in full,
    particularly in relation to existing
    illnesses, difficulties, and immunisations.

12
WEEKEND LEAVE
  • All forms of leave and privileges are not rights
that are automatically granted on application.
The whole system is based on trust. If that
trust is broken, leave might be reasonably
    refused.

13
  • Leave may not be granted when a student has a
sporting, cultural or other College commitment,
or when he has an outstanding detention in either
the day school or boarding area.

14
  • Permission Forms
No student leaves the College at any time
without permission of the APA Residential.
  • Students must submit a leave form to the Boarding
Secretary before leave of any kind begins.
  • Permission forms must be received at the
    Residential Office by the
    Wednesday prior to weekend leave.

15
  • Signing in and out must be carefully completed,
and by the person going on leave. Signing in
should be completed immediately on return from
    leave.

16
TRAVEL AT THE END OF TERM
  • Boarders will be booked for travel home at the
end of term. Parents/guardians must ensure boys
catch all booked travel. These bookings are done
in the first weeks of each term.
  • If, for a serious reason, the student has to
    delay return, parents/guardians must
    advise the College (and Centrelink
    where applicable) as soon as
    possible.

17
EXPENSE ACCOUNTS
  • What is an expense account?
It is an account, at the College, in which money
is held to cover expenses such as toiletries,
    stationery, and weekend activities.
  • Parents/guardians are required to set up an
expense account at the beginning of the year with
    a deposit of 200.

18
  • All debits to this account are itemised in a
statement sent to parents/guardians every month.
  • Parents/guardians are required to keep the
    expense account in credit.
  • For further information regarding expense
    accounts contact Mrs
    Colleen Wood at the College.

19
POCKET MONEY
  • Students monitor their own pocket money.
Alternatively money can be held in the
    Residential Office.
  • The College has Eftpos facilities.
  • Students should have their own bank account to
    which parents/guardians can deposit
    funds.

20
  • Parents are advised that sending Money orders
    etc. can be very expensive.
  • At the very most students would use no more than
    20 per week.
  • For further information regarding pocket money
contact Mrs Colleen Wood or the Boarding
    Secretary at the College.
