  • Decentralization of Mid Day Meal.
  • Joint MDM Accounts are opened at district level
    in the name of ADC DEEO.
  • No amount can be withdrawn from district level
    account. Amount can Only be transferred in the
    school account.
  • School Accounts are opened at school level which
    are to be operated by Head Teacher Mahila
    Panch.
  • About 13,000 MDM Bank Accounts have been opened.
  • Other ingredients i.e. Channa, Dal, Ghee, Salt,
    groundnut etc are to be purchased locally.

ISSUE REGARDING LIFTING OF FOOD GRAINS
  • Some arrangements with FCI for smooth lifting of
    food grains.
  • Lifting should be on 6 monthly basis or
  • Power of validation to be deligated to some
    state authority or any other authority located at
    Chandigarh.

ISSUES
  • The cooking cost is low in primary schools. It is
    difficult to fulfill the present norms at the
    present cost. It needs to be enhanced to atleast
    Rs. 3.50 from Rs. 2.07 per child/per day

    It is difficult to fulfill the present norms at
    the present cost. It needs to be enhanced to
    atleast Rs. 4.50 from Rs. 2.50 per child/per day.
