My Service Learning Experience

• Spring Fling 2005

What is the Spring Fling

• The Spring Fling is located in Richmond Hill, GA,
  and is for the kids on spring break.
• Kids from grades kindergarten to elementary
  school take part in activities set for them to do
  during a weekend of spring break.

How I Helped

• On March 18, 2004 I helped set up the activities,
  and the following day I worked with the kids.
• I primarily worked on the slide for two hours.

The Slide

• Working on the slide was fun, but got aggravating
  when the kids didnt listen to me.

• Once you climbed up to it, there was only one way
  to come down.

More Special Tasks

• My girlfriend and I, also helped at the ice cream
  booth.
• Then I moved on and helped put signs for each
  booth in.

Putting Up Signs

• Putting signs up was not a lot of fun, but
  someone had to do it.

My Experience

• Working for the Spring Fling was a fun
  experience.
• I liked working with children, because it was
  something I have never done before.
• I met new friends and was invited to volunteer
  again, because they liked my attitude.
