Tobacco and Drugs

• Nicotine is an addictive drug found in tobacco.
  It is one of the most deadliest drug that is
  killing people.
• Tobacco is usually used by smoking it or chewing
  it.
• When using it increases the blood pressure, heart
  rate, and blood flow to the heart.
• Tobacco has killed a lot of people more then any
  other drugs combined.
• Pregnant woman that smoke are risking their
  babies life from being born with some sort of
  defect.

• Using drugs at a young age gives you a bigger
  chance of getting cancer or some sort of disease
  that will soon hit you in the future.
• Also teens that try drugs at a younger age are
  more an likely to get addicted then older ones.
• There are many different ways of doing drugs such
  as snorting, smoking, needles, and popping them.
• People who are addicted can not keep a steady
  job, lose their loved ones, accidentally OD, die
  and always broke.

Peer Pressure

• When under peer
• You are being pressured to do things that you
  dont want to do but do anyways. Doing it just to
  fit in, scared to say no and to be considered
  cool.

• What you should do
• Just say no, although it may be hard but do dont
  anything that you do not want to do
• Walk Away
• Think about what your going to do first

Hypothermia

• Hypothermia is when the body tissue is freezing
  also known as frost bites.
• It can quickly lead to cardiac arrest of the
  heart.
• Things to watch out for
• 1.Cold Body Temperature
• 2.Wet Clothes
• 3.Shivering
• 4.Confusion/Trouble Talking
• 5.Difficulty doing things
• When an hypothermic person goes unconscious the
  best thing to do is
• 1.CPR until help comes
• 2.Remove clothes if they are wet
• 3.Move patient somewhere where it is warmer to
  protect from losing more body heat
• 4.Do not give patient anything to eat or drink
• 5. Lay next to patient to help warm up (Body
  Heat)

Treating Burns

• When a person burns you should always remove all
  clothing on it or around it. If the clothing is
  stuck to the skin then leave it there, it might
  have melted to the skin.
• If the burn is small then clean it with cool
  clean water. If the burn is really bad then cover
  it with something dry and clean to keep it from
  dirtiness.
• Do not give the person anything to drink or eat
  until a doctor gives you an okay.

Do not put any sort or ointment or lotion onto
the infected area, pop the blisters and put
anything cold onto the infected area like an ice
pack.

Diversity

• Diversity means understanding that everyone is
  different and that you should just accept and
  respect who they are.
• Diversity is around you everyday and can lead
  into violence if you dont respect it.
• When overcoming prejudice you can ask yourself
  what do I believe, become more open minded, dont
  give in to prejudice, and learn thats its okay
  to be different.
• Diversity has many different dimensions such as
  age prejudice, racism, and religious beliefs.
